A fascinating aspect of Schirmann's work is his openness to chance.
As the creative process progresses, the selected applied colors are
important co-creators of the works. These resulting color
combinations are integrated into the creative process and give the
works an organic, almost lively quality. The fact that the final
version often deviates from the original idea testifies to
Schirmann's artistic dedication and his willingness to embrace the
moment to give space to the process.
In the works of Conrad Schirmann, technology, reßection and
chance merge into a harmonious unity that captivates the
spectator. His works are not only visual masterpieces, but also
sources of inspiration and invitations to inner contemplation.
Schirmann expands the heritage of abstract art by finding his own,
profound language that encourages the viewer to cross the
boundaries of the known and immerse themselves into the world
of the unpredictable.
Conrad Schirmann, born in Kiel in 1957, was already interested in
many things at a young age. Inspired by a life full of adventures
and experiences, he began to express his creativity in a later phase
of his life with painting. Today he lives and works in Italy. In a
mountain town in the majestic Dolomites, Schirmann found a new
home in the 1990s. As he himself says, the mountainous area on
the edge of the world is a mediator between heaven and earth.
